                       Seeking New Home


From time to time, AER is requested to help horses find a new home without turning them over us.  We are happy to do this, especially in cases where the horse was previously an AER horse, or was rescued privately by a caring individual/s and now is ready to find a new, permanent home.

As a helping hand to both the horses and the horse community, we list the following horses who are looking for a new home.  The information given here is true to the best of our knowledge, but AER does not own these horses, and makes no representation as to their present or future soundness, health, or temperament, and receives no money or other compensation for listing them here. 
Sweetie

2 year old filly.  She was rescued from a feed lot in Washington in April of 2008.  She arrived in Alaska in June of 2008.  Since her arrival she has been in training and knows her basics.  She is smart and learns quiclky.  She is very level headed.  She needs a home that is going to spend the time she needs and continue her training.  She is 14.1, bay with two white spots on either side of her belly.

Cody

Cody is a Morgan, not sure if he is registered or not, in his late teens.  He has been used as a hunting horse in the past but he has not been ridden for about 1 1/2 years.  We don't have the resources or experience to get him used to it again, which is why it has been so long.  He is shy, but once you get to know him he is very sweet and often times comes up to say hello.  He gets along well with other horses (we got him primarily to be a partner for my Quarter Horse).  He has pretty good ground manners, but can be difficult with the farrier/vet etc.  Cody grows a wonderfully thick winter coat and is comfortable well into negative temperatures.  He also does not need shoes.  He is up to date on teeth and vaccinations.  We wish we could keep him but know he will do better with someone who has more time/money for him!
