2008 Annual Auction Pot Luck Fundraiser
Thank You Everyone !

The 2008 AER Annual Auction Pot Luck  Fundraiser was a lot of fun, and a great success.  Gross proceeds from the auction totalled $8800, and will be extremely helpful this coming year.

Congratulations are in order for Joe Wilson, who received this year's special Award of Appreciation (Painted Pony) for all of the help he gives to AER picking up and delivering hay to our foster homes.  Thank you, Joe, for all of your help !

We also congratulate Colleen Burg, who won the fabulous door
prize of a free ton of hay.  Colleen has attended our auction for
many years, and this year she bought over 100 door prize tickets!
We are glad it paid off, Colleen!

For several years, Kenny and Maria Cade of Cougar Mountain
Hay and Sunshine Cattle, Fort Rock, Oregon, have been
generously donating hay to AER, and have done so again this year, including the                                ton of hay for our door prize. We (and our horses) are                                          extremely grateful for their generosity. Thank you,                                               Kenny & Maria.

We are also grateful to the 7 Chugiak High School Naval Junior ROTC volunteers who helped with set-up, break-down and clean-up, and helping the auctioneer throughout the auction.   Many thanks, also, to the Vassar family, and to Hannah and Kara Haeussler, who have assisted us at the various check-in and food tables for several years. These young people did a fine job!  Both Jan Wachsmuth and Donna Henniger deserve a big thank you for the silent auction table and the table with the AER patches and animal loss sympathy cards.  And Judy and Victor Beckhorn Ross have staffed the check in table for many years - thank you!  One of the hardest jobs is being a scribe, and Tanya Morris and Teresa Allen did an excellent job - Thank you!
